As we gradually incorporate AI into our daily lives, Americans are less paranoid about it. Yes, AI will lead to automation, displacing many jobs, so Americans must prepare for it. In the 2020 election, candidate Andrew Yang warned that AI would disrupt our daily lives and that we would not want to get caught short. Elizabeth Warren retorted it as fear-mongering. We can't afford to be so close-minded.
They are currently very restricted as to sources and the metric by which “experts” are qualified. Currently only Grok looks at X/Twitter posts or Substack articles or Rumble.
It is swimming in carefully selected data: “data”/opinions that come from MSNBC or CNN that masquerade as facts, “data”/opinions from experts and politicians that the AI is told to trust. Ask an AI why they trust any source and they will list that person’s jobs and degrees. jobs and degrees do not turn spin into fact.
That is absolutely 100% correct. I feel obligated to write about the scare tactics, to educate people on it. There will always been one, so I will have more to write. It speaks volumes that now when we do have a legitimate threat of WWIII, it's getting played down, not weaponized against us
Good article. Your best so far I think.

If AI did not exist, the Blinkens of the world would simply use some other scare to rationalize a crackdown.
It's not AI, it's civil liberties that they fear.
