“God told me to strike Iraq, so I did” -George W Bush “I will never abandon Israel, no matter what they do” -Joe Biden, discussing redlines for the Israeli invasion “Comparisons are Odious” as Shakespeare didn’t quite say. So why try to compare war criminals? At the very least, it shows the joint depravity by both parties. At its best, it allows us to take stock of where we were in 2002 and what has changed, or not changed.
The Biden/Harris Genocide cost the former president more than his legacy. Of the 19 million Biden voters who stayed home this November, nearly one-third cited the genocide as their main reason for doing so. Harris has no one to blame but herself. https://www.commondreams.org/news/harris-gaza
It’s part of it, but it cost Dems with Asian men and women at the margins— and that got Trump to win in Hamtramck in Michigan for example (which he was FOS, the 35% of Muslims nationally who broke his way to the 60% for Harris were mainly concentrated in swing states and wanted to send an anti-Biden/Harris message not a pro-Trump one 100%— but just dug their own graves, Trump is as horrible for Palestine/Gaza as Biden etc. long term as he’s more aggressively pro-Israel genocide so he’ll continue it with mean tweets if the ceasefire agreement is broken again and Netanyahu seems to be breaking it already again with Ben Gvir).
Opposite, but absolutely, Gaza genocide from the latter and from the former 1,000,000 dead corpses in Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as the longest lasting war in American History via W Bush (Biden may have ended it, but what he’s aided in Palestine has completely destroyed that and negated it).
"Bush is currently held in higher regard by the media than when he left office. But don’t let that fool you. Perhaps it’s the passage of time, or maybe it was the media’s rehabilitation of George W from a mass killer to a cuddly old man who gave Michelle Obama a mint at a funeral."
What happened was that Obama continued and expanded Bush's wars of aggression, and therefore to critize those wars was to criticize St. Barack, and that could never do.
I hate that I’m actually in agreement, it’s a toughie, who was worse between these two…man, never thought I'd see the day a Dem POTUS would be ranked with Dubya in my eyes but jesus christ in the modern Era.
Both of these two are lucky Trump exists, of course, he’s the worst but Biden is just ugh…
Excellent article. It's a tight race. I agree that Biden took the evil to another level but he did try to do some good things at home, despite the drastic shift toward authoritarianism and censorship. However, I can't recall any good or decent thing that Bush ever did and his 9/11 response ended all congressional oversight and largely wiped out Constitutional protections. He let 9/11 happen and also ignored all the warnings of the catastrophe awaiting New Orleans. Both of their presidencies were tragic and the tragedy is compounded by our knowing that neither will ever be charged, much less convicted, for war crimes.
It’s worth noting that there’s ample evidence that both Bush and Biden were swept into office as opposed to being elected. And that both strong-armed the press into compliance, if not outright subservience. That said, Biden edged out Bush by using “whole of society” propaganda & censorship to poison and stage-manage public discourse.

Very rarely has this tale been told more succinctly. I was fooled by the media and Bush. I was not fooled by Biden. Both are GD monsters.

Yes that’s a good point. But it allowed the democrats to whitewash their entire party.. and the MIC
Yup. It was funny how Team D went from Code Pink to Sam The Eagle just as soon as Team D was in the Oval Office.

The second word in the name of this substack, Duopoly, speaks volumes.
